Beekeeping is the art and science of managing bees. Bees are crucial pollinators in ecosystems and agriculture. Whether you're enjoying honey, or appreciating beautiful gardens, bees play a pivotal role in enhancing our daily lives.
The whole world relies on the hard work of bees. From improving crop yields to maintaining biodiversity, bees are essential. They also serve as fascinating subjects of study, offering insights into community living and intricate natural processes.
This hands on course helps to develop knowledge and understanding of beekeeping; practical, technical and transferable skills; oral, written and evaluation abilities; resource management; problem solving and planning; organisational and communication skills.
Course Content
The S3 beekeeping course provides learners with foundational knowledge and practical skills essential for successful beekeeping. This includes:
Understanding the equipment necessary for beekeeping and how to use it safely
