Course Content

Roofing may be chosen as a course in S4-6. Pupils selecting this option should have an interest in construction and practical outdoor work. The course develops the knowledge, understanding and hands‑on skills required for entry‑level roles in the roofing industry. Delivery is supported by Compass Roofing, who provide industry expertise and practical training.

Roofing Skills

• Pupils will learn about different roofing materials, tools and safety procedures.

• Pupils will develop practical skills in tasks such as tiling, slating and basic repairs.

• Pupils will work to industry standards, focusing on accuracy, teamwork and safe working practices.
