Course Information

Following the successful completion of this year’s programme, we are delighted to be able to offer Heritage Languages provision for S5 pupils for session 2025-26.  The programme consists of weekly 90-minute online sessions after school and termly in-person workshops, starting in September 2025.  All sessions are led by experienced native-speaker tutors.  This provision is for S5 learners with strong skills in Arabic, Cantonese, Polish, Russian or Urdu.  Pupils opting for Arabic and Polish will work towards achieving a GCSE certificate; those working with Cantonese and Urdu will work towards SQA Higher; for Russian we are offering Languages for Life and Work Level 7. This is a valuable opportunity to support attainment and to recognise and reward our learners’ skills in languages, so we hope the programme will be of interest to you.  Please contact school staff before the end of this term to register interest.  Those who decide to sign up for the programme will receive an invitation to online information sessions for parents and pupils.
